This is the pattern for a roughly 17L rolltop daypack I designed and made recently. A few people asked where the pattern came from, so I figured I might as well put it somewhere useful.

Current download format: A0/large-format PDF only. There is no tiled US Letter or A4 version. The download is the pattern template only and does not include instructions, construction diagrams, a suggested assembly order, or a detailed material list.

Pattern Template

At the moment, this is just the pattern template. There are no instructions, construction diagrams, suggested assembly order, or detailed material list. You’ll need to look at the pattern, look at the photos, and figure out how the pieces go together.

  • Included: A0/large-format PDF pattern template
  • Instructions: None
  • Letter/A4 tiled version: Not currently available
  • Price: Free

The pattern is currently available only in A0/large-format PDF. There is no tiled US Letter or A4 version at the moment, so you’ll need access to large-format printing or another way to work directly from an A0 PDF. Message me if would benefit from a letter sized print and if there’s enough interest, I’ll consider making one.

Maybe someday I’ll get around to turning this into a proper pattern with instructions and additional print formats. For now, it’s free and you’re on your own.
